The City of Springfield, MO, is a growing urban center serving a population of over 120,000 people.
SIS was selected by the City of Springfield to implement a full suite of web-enabled Oracle 11i Government Financials and HR/Payroll applications to serve as the central foundation for managing City-wide business functions.

Called CityLink, the new systems will automate key business processes within the city including, accounting, procurement, financial management, grant/project accounting and core HR/Payroll functions. During Phase I of the project, SIS implemented all

comprehensive City-wide requirements for HR/Payroll across the City.

The City’s new system which supports multiple payrolls, several union agreements and 1,500 employees was completed and went live in January 2004. With CityLink, Springfield now has in place a modern ERP application that will serve the administrative management needs of City well into the next decade.


   
   

Financial applications in a three tier architecture in a Unix/Windows environment. SIS managed the overall effort and coordinated the efforts of SIS’ staff and the staff resources of the City assigned to the project.

SIS provided a broad range of implementation services covering all aspects of strategic planning, system installation, training, configuration, interface development, conversion planning and execution, and overall project management.

Phase I modules implemented included: General Ledger (including chart of accounts, organizational/cost center establishment), Purchasing (including Self Service), Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Projects/Grants, Inventory, Budget Preparation, and Fixed Assets which went live in July 2003.

Following Phase I, SIS completed the implementation of a full suite of Oracle Human Resources and Oracle Payroll applications. In Phase II of this effort, SIS implemented Oracle HR, Oracle Payroll, Benefits and Oracle Time and Labor to address the
