SIS served as prime contractor during the implementation of a full suite of web-enabled Oracle 11i Government Financials and related applications for Wichita Public Schools, the largest school district in Kansas serving over 49,000 students with over 6,500 employees.

Wichita Public Schools Information System and Reporting Database (WISARD) will consist of an integrated set of software applications that will address the comprehensive accounting, procurement, project/grant management, cash management, financial reporting and related administrative functions needed by the District.

WISARD will utilize the full range of Oracle functions to support the accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting requirements of the District:

Improve accessibility to information
On-line Submission of Requests and Viewing of Standard Reports
Improve data access online
Greater Security to eliminate entry errors

Real time inquiries and processing (e.g. available budgets)

Integration of General Ledger with the other financial applications
Online, real time procurement
Enhanced and integrated Projects/Grants management capabilities

Improved inventory management and delivery including textbooks

Drilldown capabilities to details in the other financial applications
