SIS served as prime contractor during the implementation of a full suite of web-enabled Oracle 11i Government Financials and HR/Payroll applications for Lake County, IL, one of the largest Counties in the Chicago Metropolitan area serving over 350,000 citizens, with 3,500 employees.

During Phase I of the project, the Core Financial components of BOSS were implemented in a web-based, three-tier architecture in a Windows 2003 environment where major business functions were distributed across the County to provide access to all employees within the County.
SIS managed the overall effort and has coordinated the efforts of SIS’ staff and the key staff resources of the County. SIS provided a broad range of implementation services covering all aspects of an ERP System implementation: |

Phase I of BOSS included: General Ledger, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Projects/Grants and Self-Service Purchasing, which went live with a “rapid track“ project phase in December, 2003. Remaining Financials modules (Sourcing, iReceivables, Assets and Grant Proposal) were implemented in April 2004 during Phase II.
In Phase III of this effort, completed in July 2004, SIS implemented Oracle HR, Advanced Benefits, Oracle Payroll, Oracle Time Management and Oracle Self Service HR to address the comprehensive County-wide requirements for human resource management.
BOSS now represents a true ERP system implementation within the County, with web access for 3,500 employees, distributed processing, and improved business processes. |
