Strategic Information Solution is the prime contractor implementing the Oracle eBusiness suite at Garland Independent School District. Garland ISD is the thirteenth largest district in the state of Texas with over 55,000 students and 6,300 employees. The project named Garland Oracle (GO) at Garland ISD is divided into three separate phases spread over multiple years. The first phase of the implementation is based on the core financial applications, followed by the second phase which is centered around the Human Resource and Payroll related applications, and then the third phase which is comprised of the supplemental financial modules.

The initial phase of the implementation provided Garland ISD with the capability to improve accounting controls within the financial system. Additionally, the Oracle applications provided access to more management tools and capabilities especially within the procurement and inventory operations.
The second phase of the Garland ISD implementation went live April 1, 2006 with the Human Resources and Payroll modules. The second phase includes the following applications: Human Resources, Payroll, Time and Labor, Advanced Benefits, Public Sector Budgeting, and Learning Management. The HR/Payroll phase will also include the employee self service module which will provide the employee direct access to update personal data.
The third phase of the Oracle implementation went live on May 1, 2006. The third phase of the implementation will include the supplemental modules of financial operations. The additional modules include Enterprise Asset Management system, iSupplier, iSourcing, and Fixed Assets.
