SIS
implemented a full suite of Oracle Government
Financials and HR/Payroll applications for the
Oakton Community College. During Phase I of the
project, OGF was implemented in a client-server
3-tired environment running on a DEC-Alpha, UNIX
and MS-Windows-95 environment.
SIS managed the overall effort and has
coordinated the efforts of SIS' staff and the key
staff resources of the Oakton Community College.
SIS provided a broad range of implementation
services covering all aspects of system
installation, training, customization, interface
development, conversion planning and execution,
and overall project management. The specific
Oracle modules implemented by SIS included
General Ledger (including chart of accounts,
organizational/cost center establishment),
Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable
and Fixed Assets which went live with a
"rapid track" project phase in July
1998.SIS
also recently complemented the implementation of
Oracle Human Resources, Oracle Payroll and Oracle
Web Employees in Phase II scheduled for
completion in April 1999.
When FMS was completed in May 1999, it provided a
central administrative infrastructure that will
support the growth of the college into the next
century.
