The Kansas City
Aviation Information &
Reporting System (AIRS) consists
of an integrated set of software
applications that address the
comprehensive accounting,
procurement, accounts receivable,
grants management, financial
reporting, projects accounting,
billing and related
administrative functions needed
by the Aviation Department.
AIRS is based on the Oracle
Government Financials (OGF)
software product running on an
Oracle 7 server. In addition, a
custom Time and Attendance module
will be developed to further meet
specific timesheet requirements
of the Aviation Department. AIRS
has also been developed to
seamlessly interface with the
City's centralized financial
system. SIS also served
as the consultant during RFP
preperation/vendor selection for
a new department work order
system.
AIRS went into full production
operation in May, 1999 and has
automated the Department's
Activity based Costing and
related airline building
requirements.
